On 13th November 2011 around 160 people gathered in front of the War Memorial outside the Residence of the British Ambassador in the grounds of the Embassy.
Padre Peter Cook from Christ Church Bangkok led the service concluding with wreaths being laid by a number of guests representing a wide cross-section of society. We were especially pleased to welcome representatives of the Thai Armed Forces and a large contingent of Ambassadors or their representatives from diplomatic missions in Bangkok as well as many societies, schools and groups from the Bangkok community.
This service, held annually on the Sunday closest to the 11th November 2011, is to commemorate those who gave their lives in the wars and military actions of the 20th and 21st Centuries throughout the world.
